The Next POTUS

I am breaking my personal pledge to NOT post political thoughts here on this ColdFusion Blog...

But...

I want to get this recorded:

Barack Obama will be the next President of these United States of America.

I am not making this statement from any political view point, its just that I follow this stuff ALL day every day (I listen to C-SPAN all day long).

I am not saying this because I believe it would be the correct course for our country.

I am say this cause it's true, the kid has it. He has it like Regan, JFK, and Clinton had.

My semi(well maybe more serious then semi)-serious political analysis theory: since the election of JFK, Americans elect the best looking stump speaker, period. Experience has had NO relevance what so ever:

1. JFK beats incumbent VP Nixion

2. Carter beats incumbent Ford

3. Regan beats incumbent Carter

4. Clinton beats the BEST resume ever incumbent Bush

5. Bush beats sitting VP Gore (all be it, he didn't speak better, just spoke more plainly, and IS better looking then Gore)

As you can see by this lengthly in depth analysis, my argument is rock solid and correct.

Just wish I understood how to make a perfect db schema the way I can see the future of American politics.

What ever the outcome, our next President will be faced with challenges that are hard to fathom, challenges that scare the heck out of me.

I hope the next guy/gal will have the backbone, the brain, and the gift of inspiration to help this great nation meet the serious challenges that face us.

Front End Is Trying to Kill Me

I am TOTALLY tired of the front end nightmare!

Will Flex save me? I just printed out the Flex Store 2_1 and have been reading Steve Webster’s (how kewl is Webster for the name of a RIA framework creator???!?!?, LOVE IT) 6 part series on Flex Development. I think Flex will be the answer I have been looking for.

What will Flex save me from? STUPID BROWSERS!!!!! I love how CF makes making the backend easy, but trying to wrestle Yahoo UI, Dojo, or script.aculo.us, or my fav TwinHelix (MOST LIGHT WEIGHT, MOST CROSS BROWSER SUPPORT DTHML LIB out there) to solve some problem that my designers have made every time is getting to be a bummer.

F this HTML stuff, give me something that works. I think it is here.

I think I am going to try to give Reactor Blog a Flex front end.

Ill post code if it comes out.
